Excellence in Real Estate

Understand the process.

Buying real estate is a complex matter and can be especially confusing for the first-time homebuyer. Do yourself a favor and learn as much about the process as you can before you begin. There are plenty of resources on the Internet, and most real estate offices will have pamphlets to explain things in plain language. You may also be able to research the real estate process by attending community-sponsored classes, or you can take a look at books in your local Bookstore.  Another option is to speak to several Realtors who will also aid in your educational process.

Use a REALTOR(R).

As a buyer, it usually costs nothing to hire a real estate professional to help you find and purchase a home--your Realtor will likely get a portion of the commission the seller pays to his Realtor. When choosing an agent, get referrals from friends, relatives, and co-workers, and then interview as many agents as possible. Pick an agent that works in the neighborhoods you're interested in. Listen to your agent, but make your own decision.

What a Realtor can do for you

Assist with getting you pre-qualified so you’ll know the price range that works for you - IMPORTANT !

  • e-mail you listings of only the homes that fit your criteria
  • perform a market analysis of the areas you’re interested in so you’ll
  • know if the asking price of each home is realistic and on target
  • provide information on the neighborhood, school district and more
  • suggest home inspectors
  • suggest real estate attorneys
  • guide you through the entire closing process

Once your offer has been accepted, your Realtor ® will:

  • suggest possible lenders
  • work with the title company or closing attorney
  • ensure all documents have been executed
  • account for good faith deposits
  • coordinate the appraisal and survey with the mortgage company
  • manage the entire process through the closing
  • conduct the final walk through just prior to closing

When it comes to buying a home or an investment, there’s no smarter way to do business.
